Global Business Project Reunion

May 9, 2016

Some of you will remember that I used to lead Temple's participation in the Global Business Project in which I mentored a team of MBA students who were working on a real consulting project for a company in Japan.  From 2009 - 2011 I spent two weeks in May in Kobe working with the students and and clients. It was a wonderful experience and resulted in some lasting contacts.

Yesterday, Professor Kuriki of Kobe University and member companies of the project hosted a reunion luncheon for me. It was wonderful to see everyone and reminisce about the projects ... the work ... and the fun.

We met in a new restaurant called Tooth Tooth Maison 15 (http://www.toothtooth.com/shoplist/s_maison15th/)... an enterprise of Mr. Kanasashi and company, our 2010 project participant. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful building that was the residence for the first American consul general to Japan in the 1870s. The meal was exquisite. I didn't need to eat dinner last night. Photographs are by Rose Tanasugarn from Portopia Hotel, GBP participant in 2011.

Chilled soup made from chrysanthemum greens, topped with emulsified honey and lemon.

Sea bream and trout baked in pie crust with olive and seaweed sauce

Chamomile panna cotta on grapefruit jelly with fresh julienned mint

A surprise gift from the owner for each of us.
